Following the wanton killing of over 15 innocent people and destruction of properties at Kulben community of Kombun District Mangu Local government and the aftermath of the terror attack by suspected herdsmen on Thursday the the 8th of January 2020, Mr. Alfred Dapal in a strongly-worded statement expressed sadness and condemned the attack, describing it as heinous crime against humanity that government must take action to address. Mr. Dapal further noted with deep regret that Plateau state has been in the eye of a ravaging storm for so long resulting in mass deaths, destruction of opportunities and properties worth millions of Naira. While calling on Government to embrace courage and the political will to stamp out these brutal acts of terror which have been re-occuring over time against innocent citizens, Mr. Dapal also pleads with the government to urgently distribute relief materials to those affected in order to cushion their pains and address the challenges confronting them. He further calls for justice and arrest of the perpetrators so they could face the full weight of the law. Mr. Dapal sympathizes with the families and the entire people of Mangu Local Government over the unfortunate incident and sues for peace.
