Sam Tokz expresses profound sympathy to the people of Kulben over bloody invasion by suspected herdsmen
A legal practioner, Sam Tokz has sent his condolence message to the people of Kulben community in Mangu local government over the gruesome invasion and annihilation of persons which took place in the community.
He empathised with the Mishkaham Mwaghavul,the district head of Kumbun and the entire mwaghavul nation. According to him, the wanton shedding of blood is needless because life is sacred and must be respected no matter the grievance. He decried the persistent activities of criminals who have been making life unbearable for innocent persons in their communities.
He commended the State governor for visiting and assuring the peace loving community of government efforts but added that it is high time that the state security outfit ‘Operation Rainbow,’ be fully equipped and funded as this will go a long way in complimenting the efforts of the military and police.
He also called on communities to be vigilant and take lawful actions to defend themselves at all times while continuing to pray for peace,fast recovery to the injured and comfort to the bereaved.
Furthermore, the legal practitioner expressed deep sadness over gruesome murder of Mr Ropvil Dacen, a mupun son of Plateau State who met his untimely dead in the hands of boko haram while resuming school as a student of the University of Maiduguri. He recalled that last year,two mwaghavul sons were also murdered in a similar manner by the terrorists. While expressing empathy to the families of these heroes, he urged the government to be decisive and sincere against these acts of barbarism, cruelty and criminality perpetrated against innocent citizens whose only crime was to exercise their fundamental human right to movement and livelihood.
While describing the situation as gloomy, afflictive and aching, he urged the State government to consider evacuating Plateau State students schooling in Borno State for a possible transfer to institutions within the State. He however expressed optimism that Plateau shall rise again,there shall be light after the darkest hour and called for more prayers on behalf of the State.
Finally, he urged humanitarian agencies and philanthropist as well as all Plateau sons to join hands in providing succour to the displaced persons while trusting God for hope and a secured and assured Plateau where we will be stronger together.
