Bokkos attacks: Pst Vincent Nanle calls for overhaul of Nigeria’s security architecture
RENEWED ATTACKS ON SOME PARTS OF BOKKOS LG: PLATEAU TIRED OF MOURNING AND CONDEMNING; SAYS PASTOR VINCENT NANLE, AS HE ADDS HIS VOICE TO THE CALL FOR THE OVERHAUL OF THE NATION’S SECURITY ARCHITECTURE.
Apparently disturbed by the renewed attacks on some villages in Bokkos Local Government, leading to loss of lives and properties, Pastor Vincent Nanle has noted that Plateau people are tired of mourning their loved ones and equally tired of condemning such senseless attacks, in view of the fact that such killings have continued, with no concrete actions taken to forestall future occurrence and bring the evil perpetrators to justice.
In a statement personally signed by him, Pastor Nanle also added his voice to the call for a total overhaul of the nation’s security architecture, which in his view, has woefully failed to address the continuous deteriorating security situation of the country. He therefore, advised the Government to invest more in intelligence gathering and develop the political will to try new tactics and new people with Fresh ideas, as according to him, ” we should not expect a different result as far as we continue to do the same thing, over and over”.
Pastor Nanle further advised Plateau State Government to convey an emergency meeting of all Plateau stakeholders, aim at coming up with practical approach to ending the continuous killing of our people, as according to him, “we need to act fast; and the time to act is now!”
He appreciates National Assembly Members from Plateau extraction and spirited individuals for voicing against the continuous killing of our people and for their support to persons displaced by the unfortunate crisis.
Pastor Nanle, while praying God to accept and rest in peace the souls of our brethren killed in the unfortunate attacks, equally prays God to heal the injured, restore the displaced and divinely comfort the families of the deceased, Bokkos Local Government and Plateau State.
