Attacks by herdsmen averted by soldiers and youths at Maraban kantoma

In what could have been a bloody attack by herdsmen with high record of casualties yesterday the 30th of January 2020 at Maraban Kantoma a village bothering Mangu and Barkin Ladi local governments but for the timely intervention of youths and military men, the attack was repelled. Satisprime reports that heavily armed herdsmen stormed Maraban Kantoma at about 7AM and started shooting sporadically. Satisprime Reporter’s correspondent was on ground and had an interface with some youths and military men. It was gathered that the pastor in charge of COCIN church Maraban Kantoma escaped a stray bullet by the whiskers. They said the bullet pierced through the church’s door and fell off close the Pastor who was in the church for a wedding preparation. According to one of the military men who spoke on condition of anonymity, “we had to comb the community but unfortunately no one was arrested because the attackers unleashed their evil and disappeared in the thin air. We are fully on ground and we will protect the community against any invasion of any sort.” Speaking to one of the youths, Satisprime Reporters gathered from her that “I was in my shop when I started hearing gunshots and wailing everywhere. I had to run away with others. Our youths however helped us. By 6PM now we can’t be outside.”
