Imo: Emeka Ihedioha hopeful of mandate restoration, hires 30 lawyers
The immediate past Attorney-General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice IMO STATE, Barr Ndukwe Nnawuchi (SAN), has confirmed that Chief Emeka Ihedioha has successfully filed the review petition at the Supreme Court. Speaking to Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) correspondents, Chief Nnawuchi expressed optimism that they would be vindicated at the end of the legal tussle.
He said that Emeka Ihedioha has hired over 30 Senior Lawyers led by Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN) to undertake the Legal battle. That the team has painstakingly studied the judgement of the Supreme Court and that the relief being sought in the Supreme Court is to have that judgement set aside! That the details of the argument has been canvassed in the application and the Supreme Court is expected to look at the argument and rescind their judgement, one way or the other!
