Abwor Dyis community benefits from Dr. Chinnan Dikwal’s donation of personal protection equipment (PPE)

Dr Chinnan Dikwal yesterday Monday 4thApril 2020, collaborated with the Abwor Community Development Association (National Body) to provide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to the community.

Donating the items, which included face mask, hand gloves, sanitisers, torch lights etc to the village head Rtd WOII Da Thomas Tunghkir and his traditional  council, Dr Dikwal expressed alarm at the increasing incidences of COVID-19 across Nigeria and Plateau state. Saying it has become the responsibility of all community leaders to come to the aid of the people.

Speaking further, he said, it is imperative that all leaders demonstrate a sense of responsibility by assisting the vulnerable people within our communities in these very perilous time. He noted that Government alone cannot meet the yearnings and needs of the desperate and destitute in our communities and was therefore imperative for spirited individuals to assist where needed.

 Releasing a statement after the presentation of the items to the community, the Chairman Mr Alfa Dakwak (represented by Mr Peter Jwanse) thanked Dr Dikwal and promised to collaborate further for expansive development. Below are excerpts of the press release by the Chairman Mr Alfa Dakwak



The Abwor-Dyis Community Development Association (National Body) in collaboration with Dr Chinnan Dikwal, a philanthropist who has consistently contributed and assisted our community in difficult and challenging times –have provided valuable items to alleviate the sufferings of our people in this period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The following items were procured and distributed:

1. Face masks 

2. Hand gloves

3. Touch lights and batteries

These items were presented by Mr Peter Jwanse who represented the chairman to the Abwor-Dyis traditional councils for onward distribution to various groups. The chairman assured the community that this new EXCO will work assiduously to attract workable projects to the community. The village head,Da Thomas Dawam Tungkir  in return appreciated the kind gesture and solicited for more.Below is photos gallery of the event.
