As announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Eid el-Fitr would be celebrated Sunday 23rd May 2020, marking the official end of Ramadan prayer and fasting done by Muslims worldwide. In the light of this great reality, I, Hon. Philip Dasun Peter the member representating Pankshin North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly and deputy majority leader do heartily rejoice and congratulate the Muslims in my constituency, Pankshin, Plateau Central and the state at large on the historic celebration of Eid el-Fitr.
Today reminds us of the need to work together to build a sustainable culture of peace and unity of purpose throughout Plateau State. I salute the tenacity of Muslims in fighting for peace, justice and the Covid-19 pandemic pouring its fangs and venoms across the world.
This is a moment to reflect holistically on the good tidings heralded by Prophet Muhammad while on earth. I encourage us all to love each other and build a prosperous future for our constituency and Plateau state at large in order to realise the Plateau of our dream.
We must also be conscious of the ravaging effects of Coronavirus and celebrate Eid el-Fitr with caution and in strict compliance with the laid down guidelines by WHO, Ministry of Health and other experts.
I congratulate you all sincerely and wish you a happy and prosperous Eid el-Fitr.
Accept the assurances of my esteemed regards and best wishes.
Hon. Dasun Philip Peter
