Prof. Nora Daduut said Eid el-Fitr was an opportunity to reflect on the tenets and principles of Islam as well as extend love to the vulnerable members of society as taught by Prophet Muhammad SWT.

She further made a Clarion call to the Muslims to use the opportunity to pray and help the State attain sustainable peace and unity of Purpose, noting that “peace is possible when we work together as a people with a common destiny.”

Further more, Prof. Nora advises that all measures and guidelines set by WHO and other health agencies to prevent the spread of Covid-19 must be strictly adhered to in order to achieve good and stable public health.

The press statement reads in part…”On this auspicious occasion of Eid el Fitr, I extend warm greetings and best wishes to my fellow citizens, particularly to all Muslim brothers and sisters from our dear zone on the Plateau, Nigeria and abroad.

The festival of Eid el Fitr marks the culmination of the Holy Month of ‘Ramadan’, a month of prayer, blessings and forgiveness. May the Eid celebrations reinforce the nation’s commitment to mutual goodwill and inspire us to follow the path of love and universal togetherness.

May the noble ideals that mark Eid-el-Fitr enrich our lives with peace, prosperity and the spirit of humanity. Barka da Sallah.”
