Today marks a watershed in the life’s history of some youths from kanam LGA having passed out from the Nigerian army. This milestone achievement was made possible courtesy of the Deputy speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly who is also the member Representing Dengi Constituency, Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong.
Recall that 15 agile Youths from Kanam LGA were lobbied and admitted into the training camp of the Nigerian army last year, two were disqualified due to health challenges, to God be the glory, 13 of them passed other exercise in the training camp and were commissioned as members of the Nigerian army today.
The Deputy speaker through his senior legislative aide, Barr Mohammed Idris Almagaji charged them to be good ambassadors of Kanam LGA, Plateau state and the country at large, he further asked them to defend the lives of Nigerians and to also defend the Constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria. Hon Yipmong enjoins them to never forget their root by supporting their immediately family and the society at large. The SLA prayed with them and wish them well in their new career as members of the Nigerian army.
