Lagos APC begins campaign to realize Tinubu presidency 2023

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos has said that if the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, declares to run for the 2023 presidential election, it will not be out of place owing to his political record.

Disclosing this at a briefing in Lagos on Monday, the party’s state secretary, Lanre Ogunyemi, said Tinubu has all it takes to lead the country and has every fundamental right as a Nigerian to become the next president.

“Tinubu has all it takes to lead this country and he has every fundamental right as a Nigerian to aspire; it is now left for Nigerians to accept or not, it is now left for the party to decide who flags their ship as a presidential candidate come 2023.

“Whether he has briefed us or expressed any body language, whether people are against it or not, we are sure he has everything to lead this nation,” he stated.

He added that the APC national leader has contributed to modern Nigeria and is regarded as the Moses of this generation.

“This is a man who has contributed tremendously to what we call modern Nigeria; he is a man whom we see as the Moses of our time that has a lot of resourcefulness.

“Whichever way it goes, let us decide if it goes to the South; let us decide whether it goes to the Southwest or Southeast and what we look at is merit; who can take us to the place that Nigeria ought to be.

“If we find that in Bola Tinubu, why not, he doesn’t have to brief us, let’s keep watching the body language and see what will manifest in 2023.

“We are standing absolutely on his mandate,” he maintained.

I was driving out of TV Gotel in Yola Adamawa state this morning after a live television show when I saw this young man Mallam Zakari Yau Dalhatu an Indigene of Bakari Guso of Ganye Local government area Adamawa state and I told my driver to stop the car. He told me that he is epileptic and during one of the attacks, he fell into the fire and burnt, losing an eye 👁.

I asked if he is on treatment and he said NO. He said his father has no money to continue his treatment.

I told him to enter my car and drove him straight to hospital.

I met the Chief Medical Director (CMD) Professor Auwal Mustapher who assured me that Mallam Zakari Yau can still be helped with plastic surgery.

I offered to pay the bill.

My new friend Mallam Zakari is currently on admission at Federal Medical Centre Yola.

Prof. Zulum releases statement after 1-Day fasting over insecurity in Borno

I am not thanking fellow Nigerians within and outside Borno State for fasting today. I know too well that such an extreme act of worship could only have been done for the sake of God.

I thank Nigerians for the specific purpose behind today’s spiritual endeavour. Today’s fast, which sought and still seeks Allah’s merciful intervention for an end to the Boko Haram insurgency, was largely carried out by many Nigerians out of empathy for the people of Borno state in particular, and for other parts of our dear country.

In worship to Allah and for Borno’s sake, many Nigerians throughout the day, voluntarily abstained from food, water, and other personal affairs with abiding faith and hope that we regain enduring peace.

Nothing I write or say can adequately convey the debt of our profound gratitude to all Nigerians.

To the good people of Borno State, I am grateful to God for having you all by my side. Today, I saw firsthand, how majority of citizens, Muslims and Christians, devoted themselves to fasting and prayers in mosques and churches. I monitored many acts of worship and charity. We did all of these for our sake and the sake of our brothers and sisters more directly affected by the insurgency.

I am proud of all of you who joined in our collective acts today. I do solemnly reaffirm the pledge I made on May 29th 2019, that by the grace of God, I will, together with all stakeholders, continue to give more than my very best in our shared and determined effort to overcome the Boko Haram challenge and put our state on the path of sustainable recovery, growth and development.

May the gracious and merciful Allah accept our acts of worship; may He answer our supplications which should not end with today’s fasting, and may He answer the supplications being offered on our behalf by many Nigerians! Amin!
